This year's ASEAN Summit, chaired by Cambodia, will be held in mid-November 2022

Phnom Penh: ASEAN Chair 2022 Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen agrees to Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn's request to coordinate with Indonesia and Thailand to host the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits and related summits to be held simultaneously from 10th to 13th November 2022 in Phnom Penh.

In a letter addressed to Prime Minister dated 1 February 2022, which was approved by Prime Minister on 26 February, Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn stated that the ASEAN Summit will be held from the 10th to the 13th of November which has also received the approval of all ASEAN member countries.

Following the ASEAN Summit, there will also be the G20 Summit scheduled for 15-16 November 2022 in Indonesia and the APEC Summit scheduled for 18-19 November 2022 in Thailand.

Cambodia had become the rotating chair of ASEAN on 1 January 2022, resuming the work from Brunei, which made Prime Minister Hun Sen become the holder of the hammer of the ASEAN chair now up to 3 times.
